Put K9 on Your Phone

Monday, February 21st, 2011

As most of you know, I am a huge K9 Web Protection fan.  This free software allows families to control access to inappropriate material on the Internet. Up until now, this program was only for PCs.

However, Blue Coat, the people behind K9 have just released free apps for the iPhone, iTouch, and iPad to do the same thing.  Now, you can let your kids use these devices without fear that they will stumble into something inappropriate for their age.

Keep in mind that in order for these programs to work, YOU, the adult, must set them up and establish an administrative password.  Under no circumstances, should you let your kids install this utility.  Think about it!

Folks, I’ve been using this utility for years at my own home and it works VERY well.  Give it a try.  After all, the price is right!
