If you overwrite text in an edit box by mistake, you can quickly undo your action by pressing ALT + BACKSPACE. This key combination will undo many actions in many different Windows applications – quite convenient!

First, open “My Computer,” there, uncheck “Hide Extension for Known File Type” and it’s as simple as that!select “Folder Options” from the tools menu and click on the “View” tab. From there, uncheck “Hide Extension for Known File Type” and it’s as simple as that!

If your mouse is on the blink and you want to run a program that has a shortcut on your desktop, just press the TAB key on your keyboard. Doing so will switch between the desktop, the Start button, and each of the items on the taskbar. Once the icon you want is highlighted, hit ENTER to open it. The only downside is if you have several icons. If so, you may have to press TAB several times before getting to the desktop icons.
